Oskar Lauer

Dear employees, customers, and friends of Otmar Noe GmbH,

It is with deep sadness that we must inform you of the passing of Oskar Lauer, who died on January 7, 2017, at the age of 91.

Since 1996, Mr. Lauer had been an integral part of our company. Through him, we were able to enter an entirely new field of business. His knowledge and drive remain firmly anchored in our company to this day and will continue to live on beyond his death.

We experience this sudden farewell not only as a professional loss, but also as a personal one, as we shared a relationship of trust and partnership with Oskar Lauer.

We are grateful as we look back on the years we spent together and remember many moments with the deceased, who always dedicated himself wholeheartedly to developing technical solutions for his customers.

We cannot halt the course of life, but we will gladly and often remember Oskar Lauer, his unique character, and his tireless commitment, thereby keeping his honorable memory alive. His work has left its mark not only on our company, but also in our hearts.

In these days, our deepest sympathy goes especially to his family and all his loved ones.

In collaboration between Oskar Lauer and Otmar Noe GmbH, the NF129 skidder – the first forestry tractor under the NOE brand – was developed in the late 1990s.

Without Oskar Lauer, the development of new specialized forestry machines and our entry into this market would have been far more difficult, if not impossible. As a company, we owe him a great deal and will keep his memory alive in our hearts and minds.

For him, finding technical solutions for his customers was always the highest priority. We will continue to uphold this approach in the future.

Rest in peace.
